007: My Man Crocus Got a Raw Deal

...or did he?  Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  This week we talk the criminally-overlooked adventure game, Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King.  We inevitably get sidetracked into a little Legend of Zelda discussion as well, as the comparisons are impossible to deny (in a good way).  Kevin plays yet another roguelike this week with the minimalist-ish RTS game, Bad North.  DJ tries to stay awake with a solo play through of Cuphead.  And Randall shows off his competitive side with a double dose of competitive puzzlers, Puyo Puyo Champions & Super Puzzle Fighter II.  We also briefly follow up on The Swords of Ditto from last week.

006: Fulfill My Bloodlust

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  This week we have a few (too many?) drinks as we discuss the kinetic new release from Gabe Cuzillo, Bennet Foddy, Matt Boch, & indie publishing powerhouse Devolver Digital, Ape Out.  Kevin also follows up on last week's game with the spiritual successor to Sonic, Freedom Planet--just announced as a physical release from Limited Run Games.  Randall also goes old school and plays some Battle Circuit—previously unreleased outside of Japan—from the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle.  DJ races into our hearts with the competitive multiplayer racer, Onrush.  Kevin & DJ also breeze through the beginning stages of The Swords of Ditto and Randy snags NBA 2K19 on the cheap and explores an old addiction.

001: Super Rocket League

Hello and welcome to Pursuing Pixels.
We're hoping to use this podcast--and our other various forms on the internet--to highlight the games that we've been playing and enjoying.  We'll also be trying to pick (at least) one game each month to all play through in order to delve a little deeper into that particular game--as well as crossing a few things off of our ever-expanding backlogs.  Feel free to follow along with us!
In our debut episode, we kick things off by diving into Hitman: Season 1 (and a little bit of Season 2), which is a bit out of the comfort zone for Randall and Kevin.  That's not to say that DJ has a barcode tattooed on the back of his head, but he's slightly more akin to a headshot or two, courtesy of a PS Plus subscription that is fully taken advantage of...if Sony only knew.
